PoroCollective was founded in August 2008 by Riina Kalmi and Soile Voima. They wanted one connecting name for their work as a dancer, choreographer, performer and teacher.

A dance performance with live music and strong theatricality by Orfee Schuijt, Riina Kalmi and Soile Voima. Premiered and performed on the march 2011 in Vaasa Finland. Produced by Watt ry. More performances in Finland and Holland in 2011-2012.
White (none) (2007)
Dance theater performance, with one actor and two dancers. Choreography: Soile Voima and group, Performers: Riina Kalmi, Soile Voima and Sami Paavola. Premiered and performed on the fall 2007 in Vaasa, Finland. Produced by Watt ry.

Ride on. (2006)
Performance in three acts, within video projection, dance, text and physical theater. Choreography: Soile Voima and group, Dance: Riina Kalmi, Soile Voima and Orfee Schuijt, Video: Aino Tamminen. Performed on the summer 2006 in Vaasa, Finland.
In 2010 Riina Kalmi and Soile Voima moved back to Finland and PoroCollective started working actively.
At the moment, the members of PoroCollective are: Riina Kalmi (dancer, dance teacher), Soile Voima (dancer, choreographer, dance teacher), Orfèe Schuijt (dancer, visual artist), Hanna Ahti (dancer), Mika Somppi (musician, composer), Eeva-Lotta Paavola (graphic designer, musician), Sami Paavola (musician, actor), Anna Maria Häkkinen (dancer, choreographer, dance teacher), Aino Tamminen (moviemaker).
PoroCollective works in various compositions in artistic and pedagogical projects. PoroCollective wants to create artistic collaborations between the members of the group and the different fields of art they represent, and so enable new solutions to create art. Co-operation will also provide an opportunity to take advantage of the various fields of the art professionals and the expert knowledge they have.
PoroCollective is not afraid to be marked by their unique style. The goal is to strive for a brand that would be identified in style and character. PoroCollective is: cool and rube, global and national, smiling in their stark melancholy, brutal and gentle, traditional but contemporary and seriously self-ironic.
